SEPTEMBER 8TH AWESOMENESS [Aug. 27th, 2006|01:02 pm]
Plymouth State University
[mood |amuseda cappella fever]

need something AWESOME to do at 8pm on September 8th?

hell YES you do.

come see Mixed Emotions andVocal Order, your FAVORITE a cappella groups from your FAVORITE Plymouth State University, rocking out with Cape Cod's Hyannis Sound on the Alumni Green for FREE

did you miss that?

be excited. I went to the Cape to see Hyannis this summer and they kicked. it was mainly because of THE Rob Powers being there singing, but overall they were amazing. and we all know how sweet our a capella groups are on campus.

dig it. see everyone in about a week. enjoy summer...what's left of it

Hey - hope everyone had a great summer.

Question for people: has anyone been to a Varisty Sports game while they've been at plymouth? how'd you hear about it? which sport? were there a lot of people?

i've never been to one, and im wondering if i'm just clueless or are they not well publicised?

Fun things to do in NH in June whether you're on a date, or just out with friends? Day and night?

What are some things you've done that you've enjoyed?

2008 Representative and Treasurer [Apr. 16th, 2006|08:25 pm]
Plymouth State University

Hello everyone -- hope school this year is going great.

This is my official ad.

My name is Sean Robinson and i am a sophomore living in Blair Hall.

Why am i writing this here in an LJ post?

I'll be running for two positions this week for Student Senate.

the first is the Class of 2008 Representative

The person who holds this position is responsible for talking to the members of 08 and seeing what they think. What they think about the Dining Hall, the residence halls, the parking, the classes. You name it. We listen to all of that and we try and make it better for everyone. We talk to the VPs of the School, the deans, the RDs, CAs. We're here to help you.

This year i was the Blair Hall representative and brought a lot of great things to Senate from my building and from Senate to my building, working on getting the bathrooms up to par. Bringing up issues concerning the Pride Flag in the HUB..and the list goes on and on. You may also have seen me if any of your groups went for CEA this year, or were up for Allocations (i was the one on the end...no...not the older guy..the blond kid with glasses)

I'm a hard worker and this year there are four qualified people running for two seats. Melissa Fales, Dustin Siggins, and Daniel Fornash are all qualified people and i urge everyone to check out what they have to say (face book them -- you know you want to)

Why should you vote for me? It's a very good question. Because i am a student here at plymouth dedicated to making this school a better place than we found it. If that means getting SodexHo out of the Dining Hall, or revamping the way student organizations are funded. If it means going to the head of a Department saying that a specific teacher isnt doing their job -- i do what im asked to do by the people i represent. Nothing is too big or too small. i dedicate myself to what i do.

So please, when it comes time to vote this week -- choose carefully -- whether you vote for me or not -- just make sure you vote and vote for someone you know will do what you ask them to do.

Part 2!

I'm running for the Treasurer of 2008. Again -- why elect me? Aside from the hard working, dedicated, etc. I'm pretty good with money. I sat on the Finance committee this year (budgeting out 40k dollars) and the Allocations committee (Budgeting out 1.5ish million dollars) and have been chosen to serve on the steering committee for the new PE Building (yes, we're getting a new PE building) the budget for that is estimated at 30million dollars. I ask for the trust of my classmates and the assurance that what goes into my hands will go where it needs and is supposed to go: making the Class of 2008 the best it can be!

If anyone has questions or comments -- e-mail me, IM me, find me. Just let me know what i can do for you.

Need a bed? [Apr. 10th, 2006|09:05 pm]
Plymouth State University

Hey everyone,

I'm graduating in May and I have to be moved out by the day after graduation. I'm trying to get rid of my bed and dresser so I don't have to lug them home.

The bed is a twin, in perfect condition, comes with matress and everything. It's clean and barely ever slept in.

The dresser is 5 drawers, dark wood, missing a knob or two but otherwise in great condition.

If you are anyone else is interested in these things, I'm selling them for 20 each or best offer. You can pick them up in May before summer break. Let me know, thanks :)

dear pace.
i've heard your choices, or rumored choices, for spring fling.

pick flogging molly.

i think everyone would have mroe fun with something that's upbeat and full of energy rather than boring-to-see OAR.

think about it.

how many dropick for flogging molly shirts do you see around campus? around anywhere? A LOT. at least i do.

make spring fling fun this year!
(not saying i didn't enjoy j5 last year)

who's with me?
